Haitians Need Homes

During our trip to St. Jacques in February we spent time with four families from the area.  These families are in desperate need of new homes. Below are some photos of their current living situations.  Life has been like this for the EIGHT years since the earthquake for these families.

Another family has four children under age 11 and two adults.  The house has no walls, just poles and two doors.  All six sleep on the dirt floor of the ‘kitchen’, is a 10 by 12 foot cement hut.

The other two homes are in very similar situations, with single parents trying to make a livable place for their children.

We are reaching out in hopes of funds to start building homes for these four families.  We only need $6,000 to build FOUR homes.

Can you imagine how, together, we can help these 19 people improve their lives, and put roofs (that don’t leak) over their heads and walls to protect them and their children, especially at night!
